Once flooding or water ponding occurs left on wood parquet floor more than 4 hours (guideline only depending on floor types), it may result in Cupping. Cupping or uneven surfaces are permanent effect caused by the expansion of individual parquet tiles or wooden strips after flooding or excessive moisture content. In more severe cases, the flooring turns dark in colour especially edges or joints of parquet or wooden strips.
Does it return to origin shape or size after drying? NO
Flooding Recovery is the most cost effective way to reinstate the floor again ( Less than 20 % of replacing the entire flooring ). It is a two stages process;
1. Drying process by deploying industrial dehumidifier system to draw out excess moisture contents underneath and within the wooden floor or parquet tiles
2. Full restoration of wooden parquet flooring polishing
